Coaches Wanted
We seek passionate, highly motivated people interested in serving as Assistant Coaches to work seasonally or year-round with all skill levels and ages of rowers. Assistant Coaching is a part time position for 20-30 hours per week depending on season. We run on-water programs in Spring, Summer, and Fall for Juniors, Modified, Masters, Adult Learn-to-Row, Youth Summer Camps, as well as winter indoor programs for Juniors and Masters.
Responsibilities include teaching participants the fundamentals of rowing, including physical, technical, and mental preparation for competition, in collaboration with ARC’s Head Coach and other coaching staff. Assistant Coaches support an environment that encourages a positive self-image and promotes sportsmanship among all athletes.

Desired skills and qualifications:
Preference will be given to individuals with demonstrated prior coaching experience, especially those with USRowing Coaching Certification at Level 1 or Level 2.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of competitive high-school and/or collegiate rowing/coxing experience
- Commitment to the mission of the Albany Rowing Center and to continuing development of athletes of all ages and abilities
- Willingness to adhere to all ARC policies and best practices regarding safety, security, scheduling, and training
- Current certifications for First Aid/CPR, SafeSport, and Concussion Training
- Current NYS Boating License
- Ability and willingness to drive a motorized safety launch
- Minimum of 18 years of age
